Well, they may not be the real thing (living and breathing animals, that is), but Angry Birds could be considered cute in their own way! This computer game has really taken off and become truly addictive for many people. These critters are certainly very popular with adults and kids alike. What’s more with Halloween coming up and party season on the horizon, then many an angry birds costume is going to fly off the virtual shelves – sorry, it had to be said! Anyway, I just thought that I should give them a mention, because they’re going to be flocking to Halloween fancy dress parties this year. Enough!
This video has caused a fair bit of controversy on YouTube. The issue is over whether or not it is acceptable to find the behavior of caged animals funny. I think that it is important to note that the tiger is not funny, whether he is caged or not, but it is the ‘nom nom’ sound that he makes as he enjoys his food that is. It smacks of people trying to be politically correct and missing the point. That’s my opinion anyway. Watch the video, see what you think, then go on over to YouTube and post your comment.
This cute lemur was feeling the cold and there was nothing to hold his attention (ie food!), so he took the path of least resistance, tucked his face in his tummy and fell asleep.
This is interesting menage a trois was seen at a zoo in France. These funny animals -- the randy goat, the disinterested nanny goat, the donkey voyeur who wanted a piece of the action, and the goat love rival who stakes his claim at the end of the video -- they make for a really funny video.
When on holiday in France, I came across a zoo which had five adorable white tiger cubs. In this video, these cute animals are very sleepy and are enjoying snuggling up together. It was such a treat and privilege to see these cute and funny animals because they are so rare and beautiful.
More cute animals. This 2-month old baby elephant was seen with his mother, aunts and older brother at an outing at Whipsnade Zoo in the UK. These cutest animals were taken by their keepers to feast on the trees which were in blossom. The baby elephant did his best to imitate what his mother was doing, albeit in a very small ineffective way. It was adorable to watch these cute and funny animals enjoying their special treat.
I am a great fan of London Zoo, and whenever I go there, I always make a point of visiting the otters who never fail to be cute, funny and entertaining. They quite often like to play with pebbles and stones, tossing them up in the air and carrying them around with them, tucked under one of their paws. In this funny video, this cute animal steals the show with its pebble-juggling skills.
I saw these funny flamingos at the Rare Species Conservation Centre in Kent, UK. One in particular had worked out a funny Michael Jackson moonwalking routine.
I think that he had perfected a way of stirring up the mud on the bottom of the pool with his feet to make it easier to filter out any food with his beak. Very funny to watch though – someone joked that this moonwalking flamingo was more like a Clockwork Orange!
Meet Molly and Benson. These cute animals are always a joy to watch as they play together. Last Christmas they both took a shine to a particular gift bag. As you will see, Molly took possession of it which made Benson jealous with the inevitable result – a bit of play fighting. I think that you’ll agree that these are both cute and funny animals.
One of the places I love to visit is the Rare Species Conservation Centre in Kent, UK. One of the many cute animals to be found there is this baby smooth-coated otter. She was rejected by her mother and so was being hand-reared by a member of staff. This otter’s family are the only ones that can be found outside of Cambodia. The species is listed as ‘vulnerable’.
On the day that I filmed her, she had just been enjoying being sprayed with a hosepipe by her keepers.
